Dry, appetising and complex, Lindemans Cuvée René is exceedingly dry and traditional gueuze made from blending young and aged Lambic beers. bottled with the wild-spontaneous yeast flora, the beer is re-fermented in the cellar in the “méthode champenoise”. The commercial description is a masterpiece in understatement: A golden hue sets off the wonderful almost champagne like taste. Just Beer Micropub’s announced lineup for the 2nd Newark CAMRA IPA Trail, which starts on August 1st and runs until the 10th, has changed slightly with the Great Heck Twisted Heart being a no-show. Never fear, we have replaced it with an IPA from brand-new Cambridge brewery, Calverley’s, which started brewing only a couple of months ago.
