Beers from the Fridge #2 – Jever Pilsener

Happy TapsterBeer, News, Reviews Leave a Comment

Jever (pronounced Yeh-vah) is world classic extra dry pilsener. The aroma is resiny hops and booming malt leading to a beer with a typical pure white head and just the right amount of carbonation. Bouncingly fresh, but dry from the high hop rate though still with plenty of mouth feel. It continues through to a refreshing, dry hoppy finish.

The official description from their web site as follows:

Unique in taste. The secret lies in the water, which is still taken from the same well used well over 100 years ago. The water from our well is unusually pure and soft. That allows us to add a touch more hops to create the Friesian-bitter taste that distinguishes Jever Pilsner from any other beer.
